Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) starring Matthew McConaughey is not your standard Dickens christmas movie. In fact the movie has very little to do with the Christmas Holiday other than the title and theme which is based on the popular Christmas Carol novel. Ghosts do visit our main character but they are ghosts of women past present and future. You see he is a lady's man, a male slut who has slept with many beautiful women and left them heart broken. He realizes at the end of the movie he is truley in love with one of them and as in most love stories, the guy gets his girl in the end. The movie is pretty funny, but this is not the makings of a Christmas classic.
